on 87.8 FM to Hertfordshire UK and around the world on the internet.
Welcome to South Herts Radio. Our main aim is to bring you an
international radio station dedicated to the real 'free radio' enthusiast by sharing our archive of pirate and offshore
radio and promoting the DX hobby with you. We also broadcast material provided by our sponsors and we make our own programmes
for the south Hertfordshire community which we share with other radio stations.
SHR began as a local FM radio station which has built up an international fan base thanks to on-line streaming and relay
options via shortwave radio. Despite being established as a worldwide broadcaster
we have kept our original name and local FM outlet in the county of Hertfordshire.
SHR has a large archive
of original and restored content from offshore and land based pirate radio including recordings from some
legitmate stations of the past. We recognise the dedicated following for this kind of radio which we are happy
to re-broadcast on our network as a tribute to them.
