Welcome to South Herts Radio. Our aim is to bring you a radio
station dedicated to the real 'free radio' enthusiast with some local programming for the south Hertfordshire community.
SHR prides itself in broadcasting content tributing the pioneers of pirate and offshore radio. DX material
and supported 'radio related' shows are our first priority. We broadcast on FM to our local areas and on
international platforms like the internet and shortwave radio. Specialist
music programmes are also included.
SHR has a large
archive of original and restored content from offshore and land based pirate radio including recordings
from some legitmate stations of the past. We recognise the dedicated worldwide following for this kind of radio
and we are happy to re-broadcast content from these stations on our network as a tribute to them.
SHR is a free
radio organisation with sponsored programming and selective advertising. More details can be found on our about page.
