I've been involved in radio for many years and seeing a potential in the radio market I decided
to set up my own international radio station. It is my intention to use this platform to create an
international fan base for offshore radio and DX interests. I will endeavour to make SHR different in
terms of programming by offering a varied music format as well as promoting some of the best radio related material from
our archive.
Our program makers dedicate their spare time producing shows for us which we also share with other
broadcasters. Apart from streaming our shows on the internet and over the airwaves, we make previously
broadcast material available to download, playback or listen again. (conditions and copyright laws apply.)
This station was created from a hobby to share with others who are into the same interests.
We check all our content for taste and decency before we put it to air
and operate a policy of responsible technical operation with high standards - no bad language, no political intention,
no racism, no unacceptable behaviour etc, etc. Our website is more
than just a radio station - we offer a download database of some truely great radio.
We broadcast on 87.8 FM in various pockets of south Hertfordshire by relying on a partnership
of listeners who relay our internet feed on the same FM frequency.

We also have our own relay serving North Herts with a reach of up to 25 miles on 87.8
FM. This gives excellent coverage to residents living alongside the A10 and the B1368.
SHR is heard in Tallaght, South Dublin, Ireland on 91.6 FM most Sunday's.
Our local FM signal has been logged in all or parts of the following areas:
- Barnet
- Buntingford
- Broxbourne
- Cheshunt
- Cockfosters
- Cuffley
- Goffs Oak
- Hadley Wood
- Hertford
- Hoddesdon
- London Colney
- Northaw
- St Albans
- Turnford
- Potters Bar
- Puckeridge
- Royston
- Waltham Cross
- Wormley
It is no secret that our station is sometimes heard outside the intended local target areas. On good
weather days during Summer, our FM signal has reached into North West Essex and South Cambridgeshire. Reception reports
are always welcome via our contact page.

SHR part and full time shortwave relays: 6255 KHz
(48 meters) beamed to parts of Europe, 7310 KHz (41 meters) beamed to parts of North America, 9395
KHz 31m (DRM mode) beamed to parts of Asia and the Pacific.
We have a local Medium Wave outlet part time on 1503 AM (199
Meters) to provide coverage beside the A1170.
