I've been involved in radio for many years and seeing a potential in the radio market I decided to set up an international radio station with some local content for the south Hertfordshire community. It is also my intention to use this platform to create an international fan base for offshore radio and DX interests. I will endeavour to make SHR different in terms of programming by offering a varied music format as well as promoting some of the best radio related material from our archive.

We have selected volunteers with shared interests in what we are trying to do dedicating their spare time by making programmes for us which include content and information targeting the areas we serve. Apart from streaming our own shows on the internet and over the airwaves, we make previously broadcast material available to download, playback or listen again. This station was created from a hobby to share with others who are into the same interests. Specialist programming is also on offer with themed shows for specific audiences.
